Location:Porthcurno is a picturesque valley set on the south coast of the Lands End peninsula. It leads down to beautiful beaches which face south east over the Atlantic. Surrounding Porthcurno are picturesque cliff top walks. ![]() This is a particularly scenic stretch of National Trust owned coastline. Close by is the internationally famous Minack Theatre. Plays are performed here throughout a 17 week summer season by companies from all over the world.

Porthcurno:Sandsifter is situated in The Valley, close to village amenities including the village stores and sub Post Office, and the Cable Station Inn.
Tennis courts are available for hire close by and the beach is within five minutes walk. The village is also home to the Wartime Telegraph Museum of sub-marine telegraphy, recalling the time when the valley housed the world's largest cable station - a strategic asset both in war and cold war. Porthcurno is an ideal place from which to tour the west of Cornwall, including Lands End, Mousehole and St Ives, the home of artists and the Tate Gallery. Also nearby is Penzance, with its shops, clubs, entertainments and daily helicopter flights to the Isles of Scilly. Other attractions in the vicinity are beautiful National Trust properties, Flambards, the County City of Truro and Gweek Seal Sanctuary. Leisure pursuits in the area include surfing, water sports, golf at Cape Cornwall, horse riding across the Penwith Moors and walking either through the countryside or on the coastal footpath which offers some of the finest coastal views in the country. |
Accommodation:Sandsifter is a large, well-proportioned first floor flat with double glazing throughout and accommodation for up to five within two large bedrooms. The flat is tastefully decorated and accommodation includes a substantial lounge/dining room, a shower-room, a separate bathroom and a large, well-equipped kitchen with microwave, cooker, fridge/freezer and washer/drying machine. Bed linen is provided, although towels are not. There is off road parking for 2 cars, whilst to the rear is a large terraced garden with views to the sea at the head of the valley. |

Booking:Sandsifter is a no smoking flat. No Pets. A refundable deposit of £50 is payable, as security against any damage, loss of keys or to cover extra cleaning costs if necessary. The flat is available from 2.00pm on the day of hire, and must be vacated by 10.00am on the final Saturday to allow time for cleaning.
